Going around the keeper

For the first time in the memory of most current Blueharts players we have two sides in the same league division.  This led to the first official league Blueharts Derby in a long time being played on the Boys’ School pitch last Saturday.  Despite the 5s captain being in confident mood of an upset it was not to be and the 4s ran in 6 goals for a single reply.  Look out for the return fixture on 28th January!

Elsewhere, the Men’s 6s continued their domination of Div 8SW with a 9-0 win over Shefford and Sandy; while the Men’s 3s also celebrated a convincing 9-2 win over Vauxhall at home.  The Ladies’ 4s were the only other team to secure 3 points as they beat Chiltern 3-1 away.

With no draws this week, the club saw single-goal losses for the Men’s 1s (1-2 to Waltham Forest), Men’s 2s (1-2 to Bishop’s Stortford), Ladies’ 1s (1-2 to Stevenage) and Ladies’ 2s (0-1 to Potters Bar) and a rather heavy defeat for the Ladies’ 3s as they hosted a 0-8 deluge at home to Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead.  Better luck next week.
