The biggest win margin of the day went to the Ladies’ 4s, who hosted Milton Keynes and put away 8 goals without reply. They are now in third position in Div 4 by a clear margin.
The Ladies’ 1s were als on winning form as they won a close nine-goal game at Old Loughtonians, coming home with three points after a 5-4 victory. They are now third in Div 2SW.
The Ladies’ 2s and 3s both experienced heavy defeats as they struggle in their respective divisions. The Ladies 2s were beaten 0-5 by Leighton Buzzard and sit in 8th position in the Premier Division. The Ladies’ 3s sit at the bottom of Div 1 after a 1-7 defeat by Chiltern.
In the Men’s section only the Men’s 5s failed to gain points after Saturday’s games. They travelled to Bishop’s Stortford for a key relegation fight and narrowly lost out 2-3. They are currently 10th in Div 5SW competing with 4 other sides against finishing in the last relegation spot.
The Men’s 1s claimed victory over Norwich away from home with a 4-2 win, which puts them in 4th spot in Premier B.
The Men’s 2s won 3-1 to Upminster at home to boost their fight against relegation in Div 1 – they are currently 10th, but do have a game in hand.
The Men’s 3s are solid in the middle of Div 4SW and beat Rickmansworth 5-2. However, the Men’s 4s and Men’s 6s top their respective tables as we head into the closing stages of the season. The Men’s 4s beat Potters Bar 2-1 and ride high in Div 5SW, while the Men’s 6s were declared champions of Div 8SW with three games remaining after a 4-2 win over Royston.
