The cold temperatures brought the frost and the early fixtures were postponed, pushing yet more games to later in the season. The Rickmansworth minibus broke down, so the Men’s 3s were left without a game. The Half Term holidays and the lure of ENG v WAL at Twickenham reduced availability across the club such that the Men’s Section could not field 6 teams and the Men’s 6s had to concede 0-5 to Hertford; a team they beat earlier in the season and were expecting to claim three more points. However the three points were deducted by the league for not honouring the fixture.
The Men’s 1s earned a precious point against Ipswich at home, but the Mens 4s beat St Albans for three points – a club that Blueharts has struggled to beat across all sides this season. The Men’s 5s came from 0-2 down to claim a draw against a strong Hertford side and the Ladies’ 3 lost 1-2 to Bedford.
