The outstanding performance of the weekend was the 5-0 victory of the Ladies’ 3s against Shefford and Sandy at home. They have collected all three points from their last five games. Not to be out done, the Ladies’ 5s scored 6 at Hertford and claimed the victory, despite conceding 2 goals and won their first points of the season. The Men’s 2s also scored 5 at home to Witham to claim their first win of the season and there was also a first victory for the Ladies’ 2s, who defeated Tring 1-0 away from home.
The Men’s 1s failed to ride the winning wave from last week and suffered a narrow 3-4 defeat at Waltham Forest. The Men’s 7s posted a third win of the season with a 4-2 scoreline at local rivals Letchworth and the Men’s 4s visited St Albans to secure three points and a second season win with two goals without reply.
The Ladies’ 1s broke a three-week winning streak with a 1-1 result at Upminster, but the Ladies’ 4s still have only one point this season after a 0-2 defeat to Tring.
The Men’s 5s seem to be on a win-lose cycle as they went down 0-3 to Rickmansworth, but there are still no points this season for the newly-promoted Men’s 3s, who lost 2-4 to Broxbourne, and the Men’s 6s, who were defeated 3-6 at Bedford.
