Mens 5s 2018

The Men’s 5s beat local rivals Stevenage with a 4-0 game that gave them their best result of the season and their fourth win to date.  The Ladies’ 5s were also on form against local opposition and secured their second win this season with a 3-0 result over Letchworth.  This puts them second in their divisional league table.

Wins were also celebrated by the Ladies’ 1s, who saw off Bishop’s Stortford 2-1 for a fifth win and second place in their league, and by the Ladies’ 3s with a sixth straight win to go top of their league after beating Broxbourne 4-2.

There were four score draws across the dozen sides, so points were earned by: the Men’s 1s in a nail-biting end to their 1-1 game with Dereham;  the Men’s 2s, who visited East London for a 2-2 result; the Ladies’ 4s with a 3-3 goal-fest against St. Albans; and the Men’s 4s, who hosted Hertford to a 2-2 draw.

The Men’s 3s and Men’s 6s continue to struggle and both sides now prop up their league tables after 3-goal defeats (1-4) to Luton and Harpenden respectively.

The Men’s 7s suffered their heaviest defeat of the season, going down 0-4 to West Herts, and the Ladies’ 2s conceded the only goal of the game against Broxbourne for their third loss in five games.
