The 2019-20 hockey season commenced with all 13 Blueharts sides in league action on Saturday.  The Men’s 1s saw off Cambridge University 5-2 away from home, but the Ladies’ 1s were unable to hold West Herts at home and lost 1-3.

The Men’s 2s went to Felixstowe and came home with three points after a 2-1 win and the Men’s 3 also got the season off to a good start with 3-2 win over Winchmore Hill and Enfield.  However, the Men’s 4s, 5s and 6s were not able to start with a win; each conceding far too many goals without reply.  The 7s were 4-2 winners at home to Biship’s Stortford.

In the Ladies Section, the 2s won 2-0 at Bedford and the mightly 3s started as they finished last season with a huge 9-2 victory.  Not to be out-shone by the 3s, the 4s also racked up a 7-1 win against Shefford & Sandy.  The Ladies’ 5s went down 0-3 at Leighton Buzzard and the newly-formed 6s won 1-0 away at Bishop’s Stortford.
