The standout performance of the day was a 12-0 victory for the Men’s 2s over Saffron Walden to put them second in Div 2S behind Brentwood. The Men’s 7s were back to winning ways in style with a 6-2 defeat of Stevenage in Div 8SW and now sit in fourth place. Also finishing with three points once again were the Men’s 1s, who swept Bourne Deeping aside with a 4-2 away win to go sixth in Premier B. The Men’s 3s came back from a defeat last week to win 2-0 against Southgate Adelaide and they now hold fourth place in Div 4SW.
The only other Blues victory on Saturday came from the Ladies’ 2s, who beat Stevenage 4-2. They are just a point behind league leaders Letchworth in the Premier Division, but lie in fourth on goal difference. The Ladies’ 1s fought to draw 3-3 against Bishop’s Stortford at home for their first point of the season. This brings them off the bottom of Div 1S into tenth spot.
The remaining Blueharts teams all tasted defeat to various levels. The Men’s 5s saw nine go in without reply against Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead and the Men’s 6s also just kept the tally in single figures in going down 3-9 to Bishop’s Stortford. A handful of narrow 1-2 defeats were experienced by the Ladies’ 6s against St Neots, the Men’s 4s against Shefford and Sandy and the Ladies’ 5s against Stevenage. The Ladies’ 3s travelled to Bishop’s Stortford and lost 2-3.
It was 1-6 for the Ladies’ 4s as Bishop’s Stortford once again took points from a Blueharts side on Saturday.
