After a few disappointing weekends of results for some Blueharts sides it was a huge boost to the club to record 12 wins from 13 games last Saturday.
The Ladies’ 1s claimed their first win of the season, beating Burnt Ash 4-2, and the Men’s 1s have still lost only one game this season in Premier B. They defeated Sudbury 4-3 this week to sit in fourth place.
The Men’s 2s continue a storming run of impressive results with a 6-1 win over Cambridge City and the Ladies’ 2s now have 7 wins from 8 games after they won 2-0 to Tring.
The Ladies’ 3s beat Hertford 1-0 to go into second place in Division One, while the Men’s 3s followed up last week’s 8-1 win with a modest 2-0 victory over Bishop’s Stortford to put them in third spot in Div 4SW.
There was just a single goal margin of victory in both fourth team games as the ladies visited Harpenden for 2-1 and the men went to Southgate Adelaide for a 5-4 victory.
The Ladies’ 5s bounced back from two consecutive defeats with a good 4-1 win over Rickmansworth, but the Men’s 5s could not hold out against an onslaught from Southgate, who put 9 past them for a single goal in reply.
The Men’s 6s were jubilant to record their first points of the season after defeating local rivals Letchworth 2-0 and the Ladies’ 6s were back in winning ways with a 4-0 win over Stevenage.
The Men’s 7s beat struggling St Albans 2-1 and will face the Blueharts 6s next week in a much-anticipated home-grown head-to-head.
Overall it was a great weekend of hockey for Blueharts, which everyone will look to build on next week …
