The Men’s 5s had a solitary point from all league games this season going into Saturday’s game agains West Herts, but a 2-1 scoreline gave them their first win and three coveted points to see them into the Christmas break.  Another side that began the season with a poor run of results is the Men’s 6s, but they convincingly avenged a season-opening 0-5 defeat by Harpenden by winning 5-2 in the reverse fixture this Saturday.  They’ve not lost in 5 weeks now and move to eighth in Div 8SW.

The Men’s 2s are still sitting pretty at the top of Div 2S after a 4-1 win hosting Felixstowe, and the Men’s 3, unbeaten since the beginning of October, sit atop Div 4SW after beating Winchmore Hill and Enfield 3-1.  The Men’s 7s had a tough game at Bishop’s Stortford and had to share the points, finishing 2-2, but are still firmly in second spot in Div 8SW.

There was no Christmas joy for the Men’s first XI as they travelled to the seaside to be beaten 1-6 by Old Southendian and the Men’s 4s struggled against local rivals Letchworth, going down 1-4 – the same scoreline as their first meeting at the start of the season.

The Ladies 1’s had a week off and the Ladies 4s and 6s also played no matches, but the Ladies’ 2s hosted Bedford and came out 3-1 winners to sit in fifth spot in the Premier Division.  The Ladies’ 3s held promotion rivals Luton to a 1-1 draw in Division One, but the Ladies’ 5s faced league leaders Leighton Buzzard and were narrowly defeated 1-2.
