A mixed set of results across the club last Saturday saw everyone brushing away the cobwebs to return to hockey.  The Men’s 3s and Men’s Colts stormed back with convincing wins and plenty of goals.  Most other games were decided by a single goal, but the 1-0 victory for the Ladies’ 4s against the top of the 5SW table side saw them grab their first win of the season and lift clear of the bottom of the table.

The Ladies’ 1s remain unbeaten, topping 2SW, and the Men’s Colts are also in first spot in 8SW with a 100% win record and a +32 goal difference.  However, although the Men’s 5s remain number 1 in 6SW they suffered their first defeat of the season this week.  Joining them in tasting defeat for the first time this year were the Ladies’ 2s and Ladies’ 5s sides.  They each sit in third spot of their respective league tables.  Also in third place are the Ladies’ 6s after their draw with second placed Harpenden.  The Ladies’ 3s are still struggling at the bottom of 3SW.

The Men’s 4s can sympathise as they are in a similar position in 4SW.  The Men’s 1s are second in Premier B even though they had no game this weekend and the Men’s 2s, Men’s 3s and Men’s 7s are all in fourth spot.

The next few weeks will see sides attempting to play games missed during Lockdown.
