New look web site

Club Buzz, who provide the framework for the Blueharts web site, have introduced a new and improved web site template.  We will be moving our content over to the new look over the next few weeks, so please bear with us as the changes happen.

Back on the pitch after Lockdown 2

A mixed set of results across the club last Saturday saw everyone brushing away the cobwebs to return to hockey.  The Men’s 3s and Men’s Colts stormed back with convincing wins and plenty of goals.  Most other games were decided by a single goal, but the 1-0 victory for the Ladies’ 4s against the top of the 5SW table side saw them grab their first win of the season and lift clear of the bottom of the table. Round-up as we take a break

We are all frustrated by the enforced break in the season as England goes into its second national lockdown for COVID-19, but many of our teams will be even more annoyed as it breaks the momentum of a great series of results.  Other sides may take the time to re-group for a better restart when we get back to playing again. Frances Cherry

It is with sadness that we report the death of Frances Cherry.  Older members will remember her as a long-time supporter of Blueharts through her husband Gerald, son Mark and grandsons George and Richard all of whom played for our club.

Strong Season Start Continues Across the Club

The Men’s Colts demolished Cheshunt by netting 10 goals without reply on Saturday as Blueharts posted another impressive display of results across all teams.  The Men’s first XI continued a 4-win streak with a comprehensive victory over Sudbury and travel to 12th-placed Waltham Forest on Sunday in high spirits, confident of another win to close the goal difference on East London at the top of Premier B.  (Update: They won 4-1.) Men’s 1s perfect start to the new season

Blueharts Hockey Club Mens 1st team got their East Premier B League Campaign off to a strong start with 2 wins in the opening weekend of league fixtures, beating St Albans 3-0 and Ipswich East Suffolk 4-0.
